A great day for a 4BBB Scramble and a great turn-out. Yes, everybody made it and made it on time as well. A quick captains briefing, a draw for the tee-off times and a quick photo shoot and we were up and running. First off the tee were the Korea-Japan team and with 11 teams to go off it meant that it was an hour before the last team Australian Wallabies hit off. Competition was keen and there was plenty of cross fairway banter to determine how the teams were going and most teams seemed to keep to par on the first nine, but the heat and the pressure started to tell, not to mention the fact that the @*#*! little ball refused drop into the *&#! hole. At least that seemed to be the main complaint back in the club house. The Australian Kangaroos won the day with an unbeatable 68 and the runners-up were the England Lions with 71. Winners of the nearest the pins were: Scott Lumsden, Warren Clasby, Kim Choon Won & Brendan Tanham. Well done everyone concerned.

VENUE: LANNA GOLF COURSE
Tee-off times commencing 08:30 everyone to be on site by 0800 for captains briefing and draw for tee-
off times.
FORMAT: 4 BALL BEST BALL (TEXAS SCRAMBLE)
teams of four - one score card - no handicaps
CLOSING DATE FOR NOMINATION IS 11th March.
Nominations are now closed - total 44 players from 11 countries in 11 teams
PRIZES: dependant on nomination fees collected, but assuming the same as last year - cash and trophies for the winning team and names engraved on the perpetual trophy held in Nr 1 Pub, runners-up cash prizes and nearest the pin prizes on all par threes.

RULES: Each player must count three of his drives on the 14 par 4 & par 5 holes and mark it on the
score card. As there are four persons in each team who must count three drives each that covers
12 of the 14 holes leaving the captain to decide whose drive will be counted on the remaining two holes. There are no restrictions on the four par 3 holes and any persons drive can be counted.
The person whose drive is counted on each hole must mark his ball with a tee and the other t
hree players must place their ball near the tee to take their second shot. The person whose drive was counted canno
t be used for the second shot, it has to be one of the other three players. There is no restriction on third or fourth shots, any team members shot can be counted.
Once you are on the green and the best ball is chosen, it is to be marked and all four players will putt from this position. Each player will putt in
turn and once the ball is in the hole that score will be counted. In other words if you putt a ball up to the edge of the hole for one and then tap it in without giving your team mates the chance to one putt then the score stands at two putts. So even if it is on the rim, mark it and give your team mates a chance to one putt. Once the ball is in the hole the score stands for that hole.
